Exactly right. No diamonds, no bias, no blocking, no stretching.
Once you get the hang of it, you can finish all 8 sections in a couple/few hours.

I saw a demo at a quilt show using the technique (on fusiable foundation) to make a T-Shirt quilt. Looked much easier than the traditional way

I've never seen this before. I watched the video ... but have a question ... what do you do about the raw edges between the rows?

There are lines where you fold it to the 1/4 seam allwance and then you stitch it and that is that easy. I had the same question and when I got my pattern it was amazed at how the lone star came together and matched up nice. Only thig was that it volcanoed on me, but was able to fix that. So at the end result, you will have no raw edges when the quilt is completed. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay
