Love the shelf liner. I use it even under my machine and cutting boards.

I have tried the rubber shelf paper. In fact I've tried several of them. I am currently using the heavier duty type. Relatively thick. I am using it on a concrete floor and this time it seems to be working.

I put a little kitchen rug under the machine and a piece of velcro on the bottom of the foot pedal works great.

I went to the dollar store and got some sticky back velcro and added a couple of the rough side strips to each of my foot petals. I have carpet and they don't move unless I pull them up and move them. I love it!! :D :D

Put a placemat under it. There are some that are a rubbery plastic with bumps. That would work.

DH just left for his man cave to get the name for what he gave me to use on my foot. It DROVE ME CRAZY until I rolled some of his carpet sticky stuff on the backs to keep them in place. I rolled this on the back of my big bernina foot, let it dry overnight, and put my machine foot where I wanted it to STAY. That sucker hasn't moved since.
DH is back. It's Great Grip Non Stick Rug Coating made by Flexible Products Co. He says it may not be made anymore but surely someone still makes this wonderful stuff.
Unless I absolutely have to move my foot, I am NOT touching it. It says it will restick but I am not taking any chances.

I used double sided tape because nothing else worked, i also have to move mine to quilt so i have 2 sets of tape on the floor and so far it has held it in place quilt well, i have laminate floors in my sewing room and it is very slick so the shelf liner or anything else i tried did not work

I bought that rubbermaid shelf and drawer liner. Put a piece under the foot pedal and Wow. No more skid.

Hunting for the pedal is a problem I've had all my sewing life. The rubber liner only worked for me for short periods of time before it too shifted out of place. Maybe because we have hardwood floors.

I checked out prices for the Pedal Sta and the best I could come up with was at JoAnn's online store. After applying the 40% off one item coupon (code EDFX239, valid through August 27th) the price came out to only $8.39. But of course, after tax and shipping that upped it again to $15.49. Can you all believe how much that inflates the cost these days?! Still a cheaper price than the other sites i found and one I gladly paid to be able to stop doing the pedal hunt whenever I sew.

I think I had read on here one time that a lady was using a bathroom rug, one that fits in front of the toilet, put the foot pedal in the sq.cut out. I don't know how this works It sounded like a good idea when I read it. As for me my husband made me a slanted footholder like a gas pedal and I have the rubber on the bottom and that helps on my laminate floor.If your machine is facing the wall I have a flat board against the wall in front of the sewing pedal at my serger. I hope this is understood and not too confusing.
