That being said, I do like this idea.

that is EXACLTY what I was going to say...I use the long flower head pins and doubt they would stay in this little cushion..but either way..without the cardboard behind it you run the risk of poking the pins straight through and scratching up the machine!

and remember to NEVER use a magnet on your computerized machines!

cute idea thank you

I would think plastic would work as well as cardboard or metal. However I have a small thumb pincushion and love it. Can place many many many pins on it. NOPE never poked myself. :)

Good idea. I am going to make one...thinking maybe elastic with velcro on the 2 ends. I get so many ideas from reading these postings. Thanks, everyone.

sylviasmom 06-12-2011 09:28 AM

doing that with elastic on my dead chicken pincushion.

I love this idea! gonna make one today.

This make more sense than that You Tube thing. I think that thing would not only take up too much room in my sewing area but think of the time wasted in havng to re-fill it all the time.

So SIMPLE, thanks for passing this one on. The most useful thing I will ever make. This is where I always have loose pins laying. 10 star ideal.

that's a neat idea, but as a Leftie that would be on the wrong side for me.
