Really Ugly Quilt
 

I made a top that I thought I would love, but it turned out so ugly (to me). It reminds me of my grandmother's awful flowered chinz sofa when I was a child. I don't know what to do with it. I have tried to find something to border it, but I have been dissatisfied with all the fabrics I have auditioned. I strongly suspect that is because I find the fabrics so awful when put together. I know, I picked them out and really thought they would be beautiful together . . . what was I thinking?!?! Was I just blind or does this happen to others, too. Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions? I can post a photo of it if necessary. Maybe there's someone out there who will love it, but I can't help but think this will be my first UFO. :thumbdown:

I also just made a lap quilt that I do not really like. I like the fabrics, but the pattern looks funny. I think that I will either finish it and donate it or give it to one of my daughters if they like it.

If it really looks like your grandmother's flowered chintz sofa, I'm betting someone is a nursing home would LOVE it! :)

I really think we need a picture ...or you can just donate as is to Habitat for Humanity and someone will love it...

Oh please post a picture. Usually what we think of as awful is gorgeous to others....

Ok, here's a photo of the ugly quilt.

How about adding a border of the deep rose(a solid or reads solid) and perhaps the green to tone down the flowers.

Need pic, I love to see what people find ugly because most of the time it isn't which is funny
