I'm planning on making a Triple Irish Chain out of red, white and black.

I JUST DID A BABY QUILT THAT WAY. I DID A 4 PATCH. THE BIGGER BLOCK WAS A RED WITH little spots. the two smaller smaller squares in the 4 patch were black with white spot and white with black spots. came out very pretty and basic for a baby.

do they need to be exactly the same? there was an issue of either McCall's or American Patchwork (ok--it might have been Quiltaker) within this past year that showed how to cut two twin quilts at the same time and you ended up with 2 similar but very different quilts. Think there were two sets shown. Let me do some magazine digging tomorrow and see if I can find it.

nice blocks and nicely sewn together! I was wondering....what color thread are you going to do for the quilting??? I understand you didn't ask for suggestions, but I see 'R E D' stitching on this pretty quilt!! But just the same, be sure to post when done...you know we'd love to see it!!! |
