Me, too! I keep trying to remember that when there is a problem always re thread!!!!
|
Isn't it true that if the thread on the bottom is a mess its the upper thread and if the problem is on the top its the bobbin?
Weird but seems to be true. I'm glad all got fixed though. I think we've all been there done that. :-D |
Thanks for the reminder! I think we all get caught up in fixing the focus of the problems that we have and forget the big picture. We've all done it and we all need a reminder now and then.
|
All of us have done this and will it happen again, YEP! I have plenty of kick marks on my butt from this, but since its wide I haven't learned my lesson as there's plenty of room for more kicks!

When I got my Janome 6600, that happened to me. And with that machine,, you can't just open the little door and see that the thread jumped out. So I spent too long unscrewing the throat plate and clearing the thread out and the fabric was getting all jammed in the hole. I didn't use the auto cutter either which would have saved taking the plate off numerous times. Finally it dawned on this brain of mine what was happening and I was able to fix it and continue with my project.

I recently took a class that I thought would be no problem. I've done half square triangles and flying geese in the past. I made so many mistakes with that quilt. I was talking to my teacher and she said that the more experienced you become the more mistakes you make because we dont always stop to read or sometimes we dive in because we think it's the same as done before but there are little differences. I've made so many mistakes as a rookie (i'm still one; to my way of thinking) that I will probably really mess up once I'm not a rookie

That just happemed to me ,did'nt think to thread the machine over again,DUH
|
glad you got it worked out!
actully..with my janome..IF she becomes testy, usually it comes "unthreaded" at the take-up lever or the last spot next to the needle.. after lots of rookie mistakes, i have finally learned to check the threading out first! |
I'm glad you got her going again. I will remember for when that happens to me.
|
Such a simple thing that we don't even think of! I have done similar things in the past. So glad you not only got it fixed, but you didn't have to take it in for service!
