Those are both great! I also would like to know what the pattern name is. Is it paper piecing?

Lorae Radunz 09-23-2011 06:50 PM

Those are lovely. What's the diameter? I have a round coffeetable I've been eyeballing lately. It could use one of these toppers. Where did you find the patterns? thanks

Blue's quilting mama 09-23-2011 07:44 PM

They are gorgeous! No, I haven't made any round quilts...what a nice idea for your table.

Just ordinary round quilts - for my rather scratched glass table.

No desire to try---------but you've done a beautiful job!

I made a round baby quilt for a great-grandson for a round crib my husband made for him.

Pieceful Quilter 09-24-2011 07:13 AM

Those are beautiful! They could be in a chapel in Europe, I think.

blueangel 09-24-2011 08:29 AM

I haven't named the pattern as yet.
I am still at the design stage.
Each one is different.

Jacquilt 09-26-2011 05:30 PM

Yes, it is paper piecing - 16 segments (22.5 degrees) and the radius of your table.

I would love to do one but where does one find a pattern? How is the circle created? I am very interested. Your work is totally awesome.

jfowles 09-29-2011 07:30 PM

I found a great free pattern but haven't made it yet, I can't decide whether to use batiks or asian prints, either would look great with the pattern I found.

Carol Ann 09-30-2011 06:33 AM

Could you share where you found your pattern?

quiltmouse 09-30-2011 06:40 AM

Your work is stunning. Yay! for finding a solution to your scratched table.

jdavis 10-18-2011 03:51 PM

shortstuff 10-18-2011 04:27 PM

looks really great

Sparky 11-01-2011 06:00 PM

I have made one for ReNae Merrill's book but finished it as a square mandala. It's my avatar.

EmbQuilt 11-01-2011 06:02 PM

Beautiful! I've had a book and ruler for quite some time but am too wimpy to try it.

quilterella 11-02-2011 02:14 AM

Too cool. I made one a couple of years ago and gave it to my Step-Mom...she uses it on the back of her recliner.

Juliebelle 11-02-2011 02:39 AM

Those are wonderful

pocoellie 11-02-2011 04:14 AM

You did a beautiful job on them. Do you have a pattern name or did you design these yourself?

cheaha39 11-02-2011 04:40 AM

What a great idea, and beautiful.

jitkaau 11-02-2011 04:53 AM

If only I had enough table space to put one of those beauties on. They will truly enhance your home.

sylviasmom 11-02-2011 06:38 AM

There is a pattern called Dream Catcher, which octagonal. Pieced but I have not as yet quilted. Yours are very beautiful.
