I have recently started making round quilts and wondered whether there is anyone else out there doing the same - apart from RaNae Merrill and Paula Nadelstern of course.
Just ordinary round quilts - for my rather scratched glass table. Envision with Cane Enjoyed make the first one so much I had to make another. |
I have never seen one.
What do you do with them other than put them on a table?
I only see round beds in the movies. Have made round wall hangings.
You can swaddle a baby up in one real nice.
Those are beautiful! Is it your own pattern? Now I want to go buy a round table. They would also look nice on the back of a couch or as a center medallion in a square quilt. Good job!
What a beautiful quilt... have not ever done a round one.. but a great idea if you have a round table... Thanks for sharing
My sister has made a couple and uses them as table toppers. You don't need a round table, they look nice on square ones too.
Yours are beautiful. Love the colours in the second one. I think the pattern would make a lovely Christmas topper or tree skirt. What is the name of the pattern? |
Pretty round quilt!
Gorgeous!
beautiful...i love that second one
Awesome, what pattern are you using?
Those are gorgeous! I have not made a round one, but you have inspired me to give one a try. Thanks for sharing.
Those are pretty. There is a round baby quilt pattern on www.modabakeshop.com that would make a really cute playmat for a little one. I have never made a round quilt, but I think they are so pretty!
They are both beautiful and round quilts have been in my mind lately - butterflywing posted photos of a quilt show which included a round wall hanging with squares in the upper corners so it could be hung and I recently saved a pattern for an NYB block with Flying Geese in a cirle that would look great round too. I'm currently woring on an art quilt which, though rectangular, features a spiral so I guess I'm in a circular kind of mood lately! Thanks for the extra inspiration.
How big are they? I have never before heard of them.
They're beautiful
All I can say is WOW they are wonderful maybe one day I can do that.
Pretty.
Please - what pattern & what size are they? |
Nothing ordinary about those. Beautiful
Gorgeous!
So pretty! I am going to do the butterfly one out of "Quilts Without Corners" and I like the round one from the same book for a Christmas tree skirt. Some people start with the circle as a center medallion and build out for a quilt. As far as I'm concerned, it is a beautiful accent for your table, why does it need any other purpose?
