I have not seen these rulers. I did do a snowball block for a pattern but didn't need a special ruler for it.

I have used printed papers when I was doing a lot of miniatures. I printed mine off a web site as I remember. If the software was very low price It would be worth it -- and if I were going to be doing a lot of them. It definitely saved time when the finished square was only 1 1/2 inch
We all have extra tools that we don't use all that often. I have a chain saw that I use only when I cut down a tree or large limbs -- But I still need it. Mim |

I kind of doubt that any software makes a straightedge tool obsolete. What's more, there are many of us who couldn't afford to buy triangulation software even if we wanted it. I don't see anything special about the rulers in question, but then some of my quilting buddies couldn't see anything special about the ruler I bought for the Dresden plates I love to make. froggyintexas

Nana thanks for the link for the free HST downloads to print! I can never find them locally in the size I need. So I really appreciate the info.
As far as the tools I haven't heard of them before but will be checking the link. Thanks for all the info quilters!!! Kat |
If you have any of the EQ software, you can print hst and other shapes any size you want.

Wonder cut ruler is a great ruler for hst's too and isn't very expensive. The Triangulations was interesting, I hadn't heard of that before either.

Thanks for the link karenpatrick. Interesting.

That triangulation software is really cool...

I have never seen these rulers before either, but, personally I think they are a bit too pricey.......I think if one measures, cuts carefully most of the added rulers/templates we all have could be discarded and the use of one good ruler for almost every cut is all we need. I have a "collection" of rulers/templates that I really thought I "needed" and come to find out...not necessarily so......JMHO But maybe for some people these would be the answer......
