scrappy baby quilt?

Any ideas for a baby blanket that would be scrappy. I have 4 1/2 inch squares, quit a few, and they have different colors and hues, along with different size images. They all look like they would make a baby quilt, but I don't have enough of one to do an entire quilt. Any suggestions? I do not have any strips, just squares. Not adverse to buying plain fabric, just need a pattern or idea.

disappearing 9 patch or 4 patch are always a good pattern

Here are a couple of scrappy ones I made. One is just 9-patch alternating with solid blocks and has sashing. The other alternates 9-patch with solid blocks that have small squares along 2 edges.

If you have a variety, why not just do a simple I Spy quilt? Sew the blocks together, a simple border, and machine stitch diagonally both ways or SID or echo quilt the seams. Babies LOVE quilts, and one that has lots of variety in blocks, colors, textural and pictures is perfect to teach baby. Quilt it very well, though, as baby quilts get washed a LOT!

MSQC Falling Charms pattern looks good with all different squares and 1 background fabric to tie it all together.

This is the free pattern: Warm Wishes found on the Quiltmaker website. Someone just posted her quilt on this site a few days ago. It was really cute. The pattern is simple and fast but with the right fabrics, it can be a show stopper. Good Luck !!
