You can go on line and type in Moda scrap bag and you will get many places to buy the Moda scrap bags in many different designs. I think the last time I bought I paid $12 a bag.

If you belong to a quilt guild ask for their scraps. I wanted 2" scrapes, and I got loads of pieces that I cut the size I needed. If you don't belong to a guild, ask you sewing friends. I just know they will share too.

When I first started quilting, about 1973, there were very few "quilting" shops near me. I soon found out I could purchase all cotton blouses, dresses and men's shirts at our two local thrift stores. It was a little work to come home, wash them, then cut them apart. Not being a big television fan, I spent my time ripping and cutting and just listening to TV. It was good practice; I think it made me a champion ripper. Jo Ann's Fabric's has a wealth of in their bins

I have never done it but some of my friends have. So to your Sal. Army, Goodwill, ect and buy dresses, ect in good shape and cut blocks from them. I have seen some quilts shown at guild which used those and they were just as pretty as having bought from more expensive.Mariah

I needed 3x13 either yellow or blue and I posted a note on Qb explaining what I was trying to do and several people sent me scraps. Tell me what you need and colors and sizes and I will pay it forward. You can Pm me if you want.

My quilt shops save scraps from classes etc and sells big bags of them for cheap. Check your local shops.

I've received several boxes of scraps (I only paid postage) from board members and I'll tell ya, when that box arrives in the mail it's like being a kid on Christmas morning!!! So much fun going through the assortment of scraps in all different sizes! I make "crumb" quilts, so even the tiny pieces were useful to me.

I have sent you a PM but your box is full. You need to clear out some of the existing messages before you can get new ones. After you have done so, please get backwith me if i can help you. Betty62
