I couldn't find Franny's fan. Could you send me a link to it? Thanks![/QUOTE]

I have the pattern for Frannys Fan in an old book I inherited from my sister.

Definitely paper pieced.

I have the pattern. I took it out of the magazine and kept it. It is foundation pieced. PM me with your address and I'll send it to you. I'll send you the original pattern because I know I will not make it. I'm still working on a foundation pieced sampler quilt that has 200 4" blocks around a medallion. It was started in the 90s.

addition to my previous post: the name of the quilt is Haus Fans and was in the September 1996 Quilters Newsletter. The designer is Brenda Groelz

Adorable block and so glad you found it. It does look like it is pieced and then cut with some kind of ruler-almost like a dresden plate ruler. You are right---everyone on this QB is terrific. Some great detectives on here. Please share with us if you make a block. Would love to see yours.

No special rulers needed; the house part is actually paper-pieced, then the whole block is assembled like a Drunkard's Path block.
