I bought this same cabinet here in Canada, and I love it. Lots of space and it looks great too, good sewing table height.

Yes, that is exactly what it is, with heavy vinyl over the top held on with duck tape. Works great, fabric just glides over the vinyl like butter, then I can take everything down and store when and if the time ever comes that I don't have a quilt to work on. Or when company comes, which ever comes first. LOL. I love having a 4' x 4' area that is closed in.

I have 2 lifetime tables, 2' x 4' & 2' x 5', then bought from Home Depot 2, 2'x4' pieces of foam insulation board 2" thick and 2 pieces 1" thick. My machine bed sits 3" from the table. Then from Walmart bought 2 yards of heavy vinyl. Then I put the 2x4 table in the back 2x5 table in the front, laid out foam board, used a bic marker to draw around my machine and cut the foam boards with a knife. laid vinyl over the top, cut out for machine bed, taped it down with duck tape. The cost, not including the tables was around $30. It isn't the prettiest but it is a dream to quilt on. Your quilts slide very easy on the vinyl, in fact I now reccomment using this vinyl instead of buying the Super Slides if the bed of your machine doesn't allow the fabric to move smoothly. Oh, one more thing, I used 2 different sized tables because I wanted the extra room to the right of my machine to hold pins, scissors ect. Very easy!! The really nice thing is that you can take a part and store when not in use.

Good luck with your build, if you have any questions pm me.

Hugs, Gail
