Thou shalt make sure all settings are correct before sewing on a different machine. I am too used to my espire where settings are saved, turned on my brother started to sew and needle hit the foot.

When I was younger I wanted to be a rebel and break all the rules - guess I finally made it! I have broken all of these and probably more that are still unwritten.

I also have broke the above commandments and the sad thing is I will probably break them again, again & again but not meaning to. Looking forward to many more yrs. of quilting.

Thou shall sew and ye shall rip and rip and rip and rip. How many times do you have to sew the seam over and over and over again before you give up and say that is good enough. My "record" so far is 7 times. I kid you knot. I was ready to pull my hair out until I realized that I had twisted the one block by 90 degrees. That is when I realized the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

How about...

Thou shall not *DRINK* and do *quilt things* at the same time...(unless, of course, you're free motion quilting...then a *DRINK* seems to help with the free motion).

Do I? No way...cause then I'd sew my fingers or my fabrics the wrong way together, cut my fabric the wrong size, iron my fingers or touch a hot iron! :) :) :)

I take it these commandments are ageless? I mean really, at what age do we learn not to make mistakes? lol

I can still hear Mother Superior droning, " ... birds of a feather ... "

Glad to be in such good company!

Thou shall not use the single needle plate for a zig zag stitch !
