Never doubt the power of a treadle machine. At age 11, I sewed right through my finger. It missed the bone, so the needle didn't break. It happened so fast it didn't even hurt! I must have really been pedaling that machine!

Mine have mostly involved needles in the fingers. Who knew sewing could be so dangerous?

Who needs scary movies when you can just read this post. OUCH! I remember my grandma telling me how she got the needle of her sewing machine (the kind you have to pump your feet to get it going) right threw her finger. Shivers yucky  I had an accident this weekend too but not quilt related. I burned my hand making strawberry rhubarb tarts for thanksgiving but I must say they turned out yummy.

Yikes!!!! I have cut my fingers with scissors and almost sewed my finger with the needle. I haven't cut my finger with the rotary cutter yet. (Knocking on wood as I type!!!) I did slice the tip of my pinky finger off with a mandolin slicer from Pampered Chef. Does that count? LOL!

I have a sewing knee. I use to turn my foot so that the top of my foot was on the floor whenever I got really involved in a project. Stretched the ligaments and tendons in that knee. Note the USE to. Apparently I was more agile then than I am now! LOL
