Too many cost cutting measures and quality control issues in most of the new machines. :( :thumbdown:
The vintage machines are made so much better. I only have 1 machine that is less than 4 years old, all the others are at least 10-101 years old. |
Spoke with the owner today, she is calling babylock for a replacement machine. I will be seeing her tomorrow and will confirm she called and ordered the machine. It will take almost 2 weeks to come. I have a quilt weekend the last day of Sept and first weekend in Oct., will be minus the machine I wanted to take with me.
Oh well, I can deal with that if I get a replacement. thank you for the push to ask for a replacement. |

I think you should contact Baby Lock as it sounds like you got a lemon. Talk to the shop owner and see what they say.

dropped off just the machine, no foot pedal etc. Will be getting a new one, will take 1 - 2 weeks to come in. Good thing Lizzie (FW) is available to take up most of the slack :)
Babylock and Phaff? are having a 1 cent sale; buy one machine and get a second for 1 cent. |
Yup it's time for a replacement. Some machine can turn out to be lemons. If they don't agree contact Janome. We all seem to concur here.

Update,
Yes the dealer would replace it only I am told BL does not have anymore as they have discontinnued. Offered to upgrade to the Serenade if I pay the difference. It is now off to BL for a complete rehaul, I did not pay for a refurbished machine! I am hoping BL will determine it is defective and upgrade at no cost. Waiting..... I did talk to BL, they won't replace until they see the machine. |
