You are soooo neat, not many sewing rooms look like that!! Also beautiful covers, I`ll bet that would be a new item for
craft sales, you may have to get sizes of the most used sewing machines, but you said they were easy to make, no one has a pattern but you, so it wouldn`t be copied real soon. They look like they could stand alone, so they might fit more
than one machine. I really like it.

With interfacing they do stand alone...and it's Simplicity 2352 :)

so clever - great idea.

majormom 11-19-2011 09:18 AM

Aren't they beautiful! All I have are those plastic covers you can buy :-/ I'm sure your sewing area doesn't always look so pretty and neat! Looks like you have never cut a piece of fabric, cut any threads from sewn pieces around that sewing center!!! It's good to take a picture when it looks so good :-) If you're anything like me, that area will soon look like a cyclone hit it. ha-ha-ha, grinning

scrappy2 11-20-2011 04:04 AM

Love the covers and your sewing room too!

sik1010 11-20-2011 04:32 AM

Very pretty covers!

lovelyl 11-20-2011 05:19 AM

You have inspired me with your beautiful covers! I am ashamed to say that I had two ugly matching totes that I never used so I cut off the handles and turned them upside down on my machines. One is way too large, the other barely big enough but I keep telling myself it keeps the dust off. But now I am inspired to make properly fitting ones! Thanks for sharing! :D

heberstitcher 11-20-2011 05:26 AM

Love them!!!

wuv2quilt 11-20-2011 05:30 AM

Now that's some SNAZZY machine covers!!!! Oh My Gravy, I've got the same fabric:thumbup:

lusews71 11-20-2011 05:48 AM

seeing your neat amd tidy sewing areas causes to to think and start long planned covers,,,fabric sitting and not sewing it's self...

azwendyg 11-20-2011 06:24 AM

You did a great job on your sewing machine cover! So good, you've motivated me to get going on some myself.

Surfergirl 11-20-2011 06:34 AM

Very nice!

Drue 11-20-2011 06:39 AM

Those are really pretty. I need to make new ones for my machines because they really don't match...They were made at different times after I bought the machines and my serger just has one of those plastic covers and I hate it. Another good idea for my spare time...whatever that is. haha

Stitcher317 11-20-2011 06:43 AM

What a beautiful job! This is definitely on my "list" of things I want to do....I never would have thought to use a tote
pattern. How clever...

jgriinke 11-20-2011 06:45 AM

Very nice. I do have one for my machine, but keep fogetting to put it on when I'm not going to be using it.

janetter 11-20-2011 06:47 AM

This is the one I made last year. I guess great minds think alike LOL I lined mine with heavy fusable interfacing and left a seam open about 4 inches for the cord on the bottom right hand side.I love how pretty yours is.Mine is silly like me.Have a good day. Mary

I bought a pattern to make covers for my machines but it is way down on my to do list right now. First I have to make canvas covers for my sweetie's tools ( saws, etc) in his workshop. I keep putting that off, LOL as is so boring.

lawsonmugs 11-20-2011 07:56 AM

Maybe you could aplique a picture of whatever tool cover your making on it.That would make it more fun. Mary

Sewflower 11-20-2011 07:59 AM

I wish I had more of it. I would love to cover my big ironing board with it....and I have hopes of another machine some day. I guess I'll have to hope WM gets more of it in.

Highmtn 11-20-2011 09:31 AM

margie77072 11-20-2011 01:37 PM

Your covers are awesome. I'm going to make some. Yours have a very elegant feel to them. Now I know there are more types.

debbiewi 11-20-2011 02:15 PM

very nice, I love the toile. It dresses up your room. I made a cover for my featherweight but haven't yet for my other machines. I hate to cover up my Redeye, she is so pretty!

Beachbound 11-20-2011 02:21 PM

My hubby just gave me my Chrristmas present! A Bernina 330 to play with while the 440 is embroidering!!!! Yay now I have another cover to make but I only have fabric for the front & back.....time to get creative again!

carolynjo 11-20-2011 02:26 PM

Those covers certainly give your studio a classy look. My covers are strictly utilitarian.

twixbar 11-20-2011 02:27 PM

JudeWill 11-20-2011 02:28 PM

gellybean402 11-20-2011 02:51 PM

Great idea! I have been thinking about making one to cover my stand up mixer but I haven't found a pattern that I like yet. Thanks for sharing!
