Looks like another "after the Holidays" project for me!
Oh, Bravo! They look like gifts ready to be opened! Very nice.
They look beautiful....love the fabric and the bows....
Very cool!
Very sophisticated. Love your bright, orderly machine area, too.
Your covers are beautiful!!!
I like your covers. The piping and trim adds a lot to your design. You have given me some good ideas and I've been wanting to sew covers so I don't have to use the heavy plastic all the time. I sew so much for others that it's good to put me on my to do list. Probably after the holidays I'll get covers made. I've been wanting to crazy quilt with embellishments as a way to practice new techniques. Your tote/cover idea is excellent for that.

Yay! Those are especially nice. Great idea especially to keep out dust and exploring animals like curious kitties!!
I love them!!!!!

Machine covers
I'm sorry did I miss the pattern? Can you repost it?
I am new to quilting I hope they are easy (LOL). Yours are beautiful! Marytp |
Beautiful! I made a cover for my machine out of some prequilted fabric from Joann. I had a coupon. The only print that I could half way stand was red and green and black stripped on one side and printed with chili peppers on the other. So ugly! They work, though. You have inspired me to go back and make a new cover out of something beautiful. Nice work!

Very cool looking! Love it!

I am new to quilting I hope they are easy (LOL). Yours are beautiful! Marytp Thank you!!! The pattern is Simiplicity 2352 ( I think...I did post it earlier) It was pretty easy once figured out what to do. After I made 6 totes the covers were simple, lol. I used home dec fabric & stiffened it with pellon. If I used cotton I would quilt it with batting. They need something to help them stand up alone. |
like your machine covers, Barb
Very pretty and so stylish-love the fabric you used!
Very elegant!! BTW I love how tidy your room looks.
lovely covers and thanks for your hints as I do like how yours stand up. My next project now will be a machine cover!
How pretty!!! I keep saying I am going to make covers, but somehow seem to lose focus when I walk into my sewing room! :D
Beautiful covers! I need to get rid of the plastic ones and make some pretty ones like yours!
They are beautiful, great idea.
Oh - I love your machine covers. I could probably live without the covers, but I sure would like you to come clean my sewing room. Even after I clean it, it doesn't look that good!
I love the fabric and looks like you did awesome job, thanks for sharing pics.
Your sewing room, wow, neat, clean, thread free. No pin holes in the walls, even when I clean up my area it doesn't look like yours. I love the bobbin, foot holder thingie between the 2 machines, please let me know where you got that. Great covers for sewing machines, love the black and white motiff.

The bobbin/foot holder came with my Bernina 440. It is great!!! The girls at my Sewing center call it our Barbie box cause we keep out toys in it. Speaking of pin holes...before my DH bought me a fabulous design wall I used the hall wall as my design wall with tape & pins!!!! That was when he realized I really did NEED a design wall.
very pretty...you have inspired me to get my sewing machine covers done!
Very pretty!
Oh I like that idea.....the dust bunny always manages to find my sewing machines....guess I have a new project on the list! Thanks!!
Making covers for all my machines is on my to do list. Yours came out fabulous!
