My 'medicine' is playing the piano and quilting. I think I just focus on it and forget about life. At least for a while. Great therapy! :D

Oh me too! Glad you know what is good for you :)
Prayers to your Dad and good luck with your hubby.

I've been busy lately preparing for a garage sale and I told my sis today that I am cranky b/c I haven't sewn in a few days. Although she doesn't sew she totally knows me :)
Can't wait to get this sale over with!!

I was sewing last night and listening to that wonderful machine sound and thought--I even like the way sewing machines smell. I get happy just thinking about it! Glad we know we aren't alone with our therapy.

When I'm dealing with big issues over which I have little control, I find quilting to be a wonderful escape. I AM THE MASTER of whatever project I'm working on!

In the bad old days, this approach only increased my suffering if the quilt I was working on didn't quite measure up to some amorphous standard I had in my head.

In current, happier times, I've come to realize that: 1) There are no quilt police; 2) My quilts don't have to be as amazing as those featured in books and magazines because ... 3) Recipients are always blown away by something as simple (to me) as a DNP.
