I have noticed that my featherweight has alot more thread on the bobbin, then my machine with a drop in bobbin. Does anyone feel the same about this?

thanks god my machine tells me if not that would be me all the time

BJBohlar 10-27-2011 04:51 PM

Yep, I just did it too! Rewind and a quick break, back to the machine (with bobbin thread!).

Actually, I did it twice today. I do it all the time.

With my featherweights I do it all the time. My Janome keeps beeping when my bobbin runs low. Kinda annoying actually.

Sew without bobbin thread all the time - guess it goes with the territory!

Wouldn't you think with all the bells and whistles that are on these modern machines that the machine designers could add a empty bobbin alarm???

 I'm laughing with you, not at you! Many of us have "been there, done that" as you can see. When you realized it, that was definitely a good time to take a break.

My Pfaff 2144 has a little light that blinks when the bobbin gets low but if you stop then it wastes a lot of thread. :(
