Shades of Gray

If your library has the book Quilts of Thimble Creek, Alex Anderson has a pattern called Simply Beautiful that she used for neutral fabrics. She used all shades of tan and cream and it is so pretty. It would also be very pretty in all shades of gray. Also, if you find the book by Karla Anderson called Stack the Deck,
there is a pattern with hearts appliqued on the blocks. I did this pattern in neutrals and added a few
hearts and it's very pretty. And it's a fun pattern to do. Have fun!

I have this book and can just picture the quilt as you described it - it will be gorgeous! I hope you will post pictures of it when you are done!

I've seen a double wedding ring bedrunner in shades of grey. Super elegant. Might look nice in a quilt, too.

I have a Pattern from Fons and Porter that was in a magazine. It is called French Farmhouse (actually a double Irish Chain) I am doing it in shades of Purple, but the Gray's would be stunning this way.

I did a scattered D9P in greens, blacks and grays, but you could probably use just grays if you have enough variety. Seach board photos for Seasonal Greens to see mine.

I think a lot of Jacquie Gering's quilts would work beautifully in grays. I'm thinking specifically of this quilt from her blog: http://tallgrassprairiestudio.blogsp...red-remix.html

Good luck!

I did this one in grays and neutrals. Would also work well in all grays.

A big thank you for all your suggestions. I will be checking the websites and library. It will be a while before I get at it but I will post a picture when I'm finished. Once again....Thank you...
