It is a great tool. Don't bother with the smaller versions ( you have to fold your fabric too much). I have enjoyed mine for many years.

I think the price is good. I'm on my 2nd June Taylor strip cutter, as mine seem to get big nicks in them easily, and tends to break along the cutting lines on the bottom.

Because of my hand issues the JT shape cutter is inadequate. I don't always hold my rotary cutter in the same manner, so my cuts can really vary a lot.
That's why I got the Alto's QuiltCut. My cuts are always even with it.

i am using clear tape but I am afraid it will break again when I am cutting.

I usually cut 6 or 8 layers at a time; and I use a 60mm blade. I will often make the first cut and then carefully pull that cut-off fabric from underneath the ruler. That lets that slat of the ruler flex downward and becomes a ledge I can bump the rest of the fabric stack up against and that sort of "locks" the ruler in place a little bit; helps prevent slipping.

Mine has become worn at the spots where you insert the blade - a fresh blade will dig into the ruler a bit if you're not careful and between me and my newbies it's getting a little tattered. At some point I'll pick a new one up to replace it.
