Knitting, weight lifting and running, and my newest obsession is collecting and restoring antique and vintage sewing machines.

In the summer I veggie garden.

and knit. found out I can knit socks and my kids love them.

Also play the lap dulcimer. AND I have made two Apalachian Lap Dulcimers.

I like puzzle and word games. Boy this group is amazing.

I read all the posts before mine and I have to say we are as different as can be. Since no one mentioned my favorite hobby I will tell you that I love to kayak. My DH and I started about 6 years ago and we fish and explore together. It is fabulous, even off Miami you can feel like the only people in the world it is so quiet. I also have a large garden in my yard but in the summer it is really too hot to grow much of anything!

I have done just about every craft out there. Did ceramics for 20 years. Had molds, my own kiln........refinished furniture, have a great collection of beads, lots from NM.Did floral arrangements, Learned how to root roses. Tried to landscape 3 acres when we moved to the country, LOL, that's when I found quilting and $20,000 later that's what I do. Love to buy patterns. I have been on a fabric diet, blew the Hell out of that at the Dallas Quilt Show. There's just something about fabric.................oh, yeah, I also machine and hand embroidery. katie
