Me too! I just love to quilt without shoes it give me more control.

I can't sew with anything heavier than a sock on my pedal foot. Used to do medical transcription. Again, had to take my shoe off to use the foot pedal.

Barefoot is the only way to go..... just make sure you pick up your dropped pins!!

I only wear shoes when I absolutly have to. And even then I go with a minimal foot covering . I make my own shoes out of leather pieces to just wear around where I have to wear shoes in the warm weather.

So how many others out there sew without the shoe?

Well, I always sew without my shoes, but then I am an Arkie, lol....barefoot just feels better and natural to me.

I'm either barefoot or have socks on!

Barefoot sewing or not! that's me.

Don't sew barefoot but with socks on. In the house I always have slippers on but can't get the feel for the foot with them on. I even bought a particular pair of slippers, just for sewing, but usually end up sewing in my socks.
