Change the block for something more muted.

Speaking of "upside-down", why isn't there a solution for this??? It is so annoying and my mind simply can't adjust to trying to make it right.

Cute quilt top. I would take that one out and also have all the blocks have a border on them. I love the compass block.

There is no right or wrong answer as long as it holds together and you're happy.
If it was mine, I would want borders on all the blocks and the green and red trees block does jump out at me. I had to look again to see the other two blocks without borders. Is the intended recipient likely to care? Rodney |
I agree with Tartan, the background green is wrong for the rest of your greens. Very pretty quilt.

Yes, I'd change it. The green isn't the same as the others.

Yes, I think I'd change it, too. In fact, I might think about taking the 2 all-over white ones out as well. All the rest of the blocks look like a block inside a block. Those 3 seem odd. Sorry.

If the colors are showing true, and that block is indeed brighter and more "Christmassy" in tone, I think I would also change it out.
As for having the three blocks that are not square in a square, I am good with that, as I like a little change up here and there in my quilts sometimes. I might separate the two that are touching a little more though. |
 v I do believe that it will all be well once you have quilted it and washed it a few times. When in doubt, I find it best to either add more of the questionable fabric, or remove it. Howsomeever, I find your composition to be quite pleasant and acceptable as photographed and needing no revisions.
