Here is one of mine...quilted with red and green loops.

So nice ... so special!

We just had our groups quilt show in Gardiner Me. This weekend and it was a Christmas theme. If I can figure out how to post I will give it a try. We had over 100 quilts.

Can't remember where I bought the pattern but it is available at http://www.castillejacotton.com/quil...sort=relevance The pattern is for a 15.5" X 18.5" mini quilt. Block size is 9" x 12". I made 9 blocks, reversed some of the penguins & added different scarves & hats. Fun quilt to make. If you can't buy the pattern let me know & I will send you mine as I won't be needing it anymore.

Thanks for posting your beautiful Christmas quilts. Could you tell me where you found the patterns for the blocks that your grandchildren colored for your quilt. I would love to make a similar quilt.

The top quilt is a modified snowball featuring christmas scene fabric.

costumegirl 10-29-2013 08:52 AM

Wow!! These quilts are all so pretty!! I have a pattern that I thought that I would do in green and red this summer but time just got away from me - maybe next year :)
Thanks for all of the creative inspiration :)

MamaDonna 10-29-2013 09:13 AM

Beautiful. I wish I had one! only way to solve that is to go on a FART!( an earlier post stated this as a Fabric Acquisition Road Trip).

missgigglewings 10-29-2013 10:13 AM

Beautiful...especially love the snowmen quilts! I am making a scrappy Christmas quilt for my mom for her birthday Dec 19. She will be 88 and is in a nursing home near my sister in Ill. She will love the bright colors in it. I will post as soon as I finish quilting it.

caspharm 10-29-2013 10:40 AM

Wonderful quilts! I am in the midst of piecing one for our bed. It is made from Eleanor Burns' pattern. "Piece of Cake" and Moda's Nature Christmas Layer cakes. I had won one at my guild meeting, but my husband wanted a king size, so I had to buy more fabric with a Stonehenge lattice.

I also bought one of the Stonehenge Christmas tree kits with the lights. I hope to finish it by Christmas.

IBQUILTIN 10-29-2013 11:20 AM

Than for helping us get in the mood. I love all the Christmas Quilts too, Those penguins are adorable

benndm 10-29-2013 11:32 AM

I'm sure glad I don't have to choose a favorite. It would be impossible. I love them all. We have such talent here.

I love your bargello quilt, can you tell me the name of the pattern.

Wow! What a great rag quilt. I've never seen anything like it. Was this a pattern you were following?

leighway 10-30-2013 06:30 AM

Thanks so very much for this post!!! I really enjoyed starting my day with a cup of coffee and a tour down Christmas Tree Lane. Got the usual quilter's guilt (oh....i have to get busy....i'm so far behind and have no Christmas quilt...) when I realized I've made two tree skirts and a fun advent calendar. Pics to follow. I think this thread is going to be busy for awhile!

I made this for one of my grand daughters last year. Have fabric ordered, but very unlikely to have next Christmas quilt done in time for the holidays this year! This quilt is actually much softer pinks and turquoises.... What a talented group there is here! Enjoying the quilt show!

Whitney60 10-30-2013 01:15 PM

They are all wonderful... We are enjoying them.
Thank you. Donna
