I think they are really helpful, especially when turning the corners. The clips kind of help "iron" the binding down so you get a crisper corner.
Found some really cute ones at Wal-Mart....different colors with little flowers on them. |
Yes, I use them to "train" the binding into the place I want to sew hand sew next.
I do use them and I really like them.

All the time
I use Hair Clips, and I think they are called alligator clips. They are so much cheaper.
I too, wonder how I got along without them. When you are disabled with one hand/arm you have to rely on thinking of ways to accomplish what you want to do. I hesitated buying them at first. Now I use them for so many things. I've had many a quilt stained with blood from pin pricks.
I've used them, but find they don't always hold that good, so I bought a package of those office binder clips at staples on sale, 30 for $2.00, and they work great.
use them all the time...so much handier than pins
Yes, and I really like them. One: no more pin sticks(biggest Plus). Two: they hold better and can be moved easily . Three: you can buy hair clips and they are cheaper than ones sold by the QS.
I have them and use them every time I do a binding - love them.
