Sounds like a winner to me. that way everything is out of site or ready to use the next time. I just got new blinds and track lights in my sewing area( and my husband's computer corner in the room) looks like a new room.

Great use of small space. You have successfully paired down without loosing your love of your craft. That is great. =)

This sounds a bit like what I am trying to do now. I now have (in the process of selling) a four bedroom house with a sewing room w/walk in closet and a quilting room w/a closet. Well, when I mentioned selling my house, my baby girl and her husband decided to add a room w/bathroom to their house so I can live with them. I have this horrow of them finding me dead/de-composed body due to the fact I live way out in the country, alone. They call or come by when they have the chance, not often. I will have my own bedroom and my own bathroom & they are making sure I have enough space for all my sewing equipment. They live in town, so I will be close to all the stores, etc. I am SEW excited as well as they are.

What a wonderful daughter and SIL you have. I know you will be very happy. Oh and the bonus....being near all the LQS's. Good luck to you.

What a clever idea. Sorry for your loss, but I'm glad you were able to keep some of the things he made you, that peg board sounds like a great idea.

Really sounds like a cozy space. Do you have any wall space in there at all? Maybe get one of those wallpapers with a window design overlooking a garden. It would feel like a nice sunny window

Yes, she is my baby daughter and we both have had double mastectomies. We have a lot in common and her husband is wonderful. My other two older daughters are great too and very happy for me to be with their baby sister. I will be 71 at end of month and the upkeep on this house and yard are a bit much for me now. Thank you for replying.

Sounds wonderful! The only downside to my studio is it is completely open to the rest of the house (Former Formal LR/DR area). No dividing walls or doors.
