You all are amazing! Thank you for the help! I knew you'd come thru for me!!

I have a list of over 100 (and growing) sock critters listed on my site.... They are really easy to make and a lot of fun.
There's even a sock skeleton and a little sock monster gift card holder! http://yarn-or-fabric.weebly.com/soc...ial-links.html warning though - you might find yourself looking there for awhile lol |
I made one recently to go along with a quilt I made. I found many patterns free online... I purchased socks that had contrasting heals/toes from walmart. This was for a baby gift, so I did not want a rough sock. I used a nylon trendy sock and it came out so soft and cuddly. the mother to be loved it!

The socks I bought at the local farm store had the pattern on the package.

My grandma made a sock bunny for my daughter about 35 years ago. Grandma dressed her in a straight cut dress made from a knit fabric and a pair of panties. My daughter still has the bunny but it has seen better days. She asked me to make her a new one. I haven't seen the sock elephant before.

Carol Duval had Sock Monkey on her show all the time. I sure do miss them.

I use to make and sell them for $40 each to nurses and drs at the hospital. All it took was for one nurse to show the others what I made for her. I was sick of making sock monkeys! The pattern comes with the Red Heel socks. I found the socks at the local Army Navy store. They came three pair to a package. There is a book just for Red Heel Sock creatures. I ordered it years ago.

I have looked everywhere for a sock monkey pattern that is made of fabric, I guess you could call it a calico monkey. Has anyone seen a pattern like this?
