Rectangle quilts for me also. Baby quilts are square.

I'm a rectangle quilter and adapt square patterns to rectangles. I like to make throw size. They are wide enough to cover and long enough to grow from chin to tucked in toes.

My mind must be out to lunch....I know granny squares from crocheting, but what is a quilt granny square?

I like square wall quilts, but rectangle lap and bed quilts. For lap quilts in particular I want them long enough to cover up with on the couch, but if they are too wide they tend to fall off the couch and uncover me or there is just too much bulk at the back of the couch. Just my preference. However, I have put on a few pounds in my later years so I need quilts a little wider than I used to

I make square or rectangle for baby quilts. Just whatever I want to make at the time. My next size up is twin. I make approximately 60x90 for twin and sofa quilts. Then my DD has a full bed and she likes 90 square. DS has a queen bed and likes 100x100. Then I have a king and make 115x115. I think a wide rectangle would probably fit better, but the square is easy, any side can be the top, and it is easier to layout a square IMHO, and it definitely covers our feet, even my 6'2" DH.

Since I am only 5' tall, a 66" square quilt is perfect for me. Square quilts are great or couch snuggling.

Always rectangle

I make a rectangle quilt if it is to be used on a bed and a square quilt if it is to be used for a baby quilt.

I like rectangular quilts as then can better be lengthened. My DGD's boyfriend is over 6' tall and I lengthened the quilt a lot so it could be tucked in. It was a hit.

I like square quilts so they can be turned any which way.
