Peckish, thanks for posting those links. I love the jingle block I found on the first one.

So true about the word 'wicked', but I don't hear it much anymore. It is fitting for so many situations, though, isn't it?

Oh, I know, isn't that one gorgeous?!?!?! She does a BOM every year, and has lots of tutorials and how-to's for applique.

Next thing you know someone will expect me to balance my checkbook. No statement of stash flow for me, thanks. I'm in this strictly for the fun of it.

Must admit I love the play on words you discovered. I don't plan to calculate my stash flows but I can tell you categorically that I am in a deficit position and see no change on the horizon. lol

I worked at House of Fabrics for a while. DH came to me after figuring out our taxes, and let me know that my time there was a net loss to the family, as I had spent $3000 more than I had earned that year... That was back in the early 90's, so I shudder to think what damage I could do now!

I'm a CPA and I keep my black and white life separate from my color life of quilting. I enjoy the disparity. But someday I'll retire and be all color!

[QUOTE=grann of 6;5811893]The closest I come to keeping track of my in-flow and out-flow is when I see an empty spot on the shelves, I know it is time to go shopping to fill it up again./QUOTE]

That's the spirit! I needed a laugh tonight...very funny! :-)

I agree with everyone, this is my joy and my release. However, i just received two quilts back from the LAQ'er and was remembering my dear aunt who, when away from home had her house burglarized. They took the quilts- irreplaceable ~! Money does not cover the time, love, care and memories i have in them, but i have heard that you should make a list for insurance purposes, at the least to help prove such a loss. So, i made a list on the back of the bill from the LAQ'er. New fabric for my queen quilts in the patterns i love average about so much, batting on sale $$, backing... the cost of the quilting and something to count for the time i spend piecing and binding. It is not nearly market value, but this info along with photos helps me show what i have done.

I kind of like this idea. Getting a total of what I have right now would be a daunting task but my husband and I are in the process of downsizing and moving across country so this would be the best time.
