Oatw13 Yes I am going to check out what is available in the super market tomorrow, MQ, I have already a rubber mat under my machine, I thought that would help too!

Isn't there also a liquid that is sold for the purpose of
"fixing" the thread? I remember being told that you could run a small line of the liquid down the spool of thread (crossing all threads on the spool) and it helped keep static down and the thread moving more smoothly. I may be imagining the whole thing. Does anybody remember something like this? |
I would wipe it down with a fabric softener sheet

I spray Static Guard in my hair brush too! Also in the kids knit hats. Works like magic!

ktbb have not heard of the 'fixing thread', interesting, this board has a wealth of knowledge, you folk are great!

It's called Sewer's Aid. I use put a couple of drop on all my thread spools . AND, it's better (and much cheaper) then the defrizz hair serum for your hair. One drop is all it takes to make your hair shine and defrizz. It's pure silicone.

Is it designed for machine sewing, like, it would not damage your machine would it, I would hate to that, it is a brand new machine!
