Thank you to all of you asking those stupid questions, you made me learn quite a few new things. Now I feel less stupid! LOL

I have a "NON" stupid question, (I'm also sort of a newbie to quilting). I found a pattern that says to paper piece and was wondering if I could make templates and do the regular way??

Very well said. Thank you.

Racheal, thats true. Some people are new to forums and dont know thre IS a search. One lady pmd me, and I told her to do a search, and she asked how...so maybe just taking a minute to let them know HOW to search.

Totally agree, there is no stupid questions!!!! How do we ever learn, unless when we have a problem, we ask. I've been at this for over 40 years and still have questions. No one can ever say they know everything as there are always new ways discovered to do a task.

also...the only stupid question is the one NOT asked
David

I was just going to say the same thing David. How stupid would it be to go ahead and do something(that you are not sure about) and ruin it because you didn't ask. !!

We are really our own worst critics. I also believe that there are times when we really feel that way and DO need some encouragement from our fellow quilters (I know I have) especially when one lives alone, is aged and just needs some conversation specifically to them. I can honestly admit to being "one of those".

Every journey starts with a single step, I don't know who said that first but it is true. We learn many things one step at a time and that goes for quilting too. We all learned by asking for help, and someday you will be asked for help too.

I agree. This board is so helpful and I truly feel that we should learn something new everyday. If you don't know the answer then it is not a stupid question.
