I would do as hobo2000 said. Most of the time I always end up with a dark border and binding so your eye wants to stop at the edge of the quilt. As told at a quilt class several times.

Barb,it is, somewhat. But when you quilt it doesn't that draw the quilt in a bit? Like make the finished quilt smaller from edge to edge? I want the quilt to drape over the sides enough to cover about 1" of the top of the box spring on each side and the end. I have no problem figuring yardage needed. I remeasured and want the quilt to be 85 X 96 after quilted and bound.

What a gorgeous quilt top!

Why don't you just send that beautiful quilt to my house and I'll just take care of making it larger! It is absolutely beautiful and I would take very good care of it! That is one quilt I have always wanted to own, but no desire to make it. Beautiful job!

That is gorgoues. I like the first blue fabric. Seems to go well with the colors in the quilt blocks.

I would go with at least one white border, as you have white in the quilt. Perhaps a trip to your local quilting store will help you find that final piece. I am thinking a medium size print with all colors in it, as the final border. Some thing to tie it all together.
