I think "unique" and "special" and "extraordinary" would be better adjectives to describe your work (and yourself) than "weird"

If my handwork was as lovely as yours, I could throw away the seam ripper, too. You do such great work.

your work looks beautiful, I do alot of applique and always hand quilt so my machine is pretty redundant - have always admired whole quilts but not yet tried one -on my 'to do' list
