Thanks to "eparys" for helping to draw my attention to what I should have initially typed...I'm not in the market for scissors right now, but rather "cutting shears".

Until I purchased my first pair of ginghers I culdn't see what all the hoo ha was about, but I got my first pair on ebay for about $10 and spent another $5. getting them sharpened, the second pair was new and came from JoAnns on one of their $50% coupons. They are so sharp, I love them.

I have both Gingher and Fiskers but use my rotary cutter and snippers the most.

I like the Fanmore small scissors. They are reasonable in price and very sharp. Clover scissors are great and are in most hobby stores. I use them the most. I buy Fiskar scissors for all household use. I bought a package set at Sam's Club 10 years ago and we are still using them to cut everything from paper to screening. I have several pair of Gingher and they are super but the big metal pair get too heavy for me if I use them a lot. The best scissors you can buy are Dovo. I'm not that into scissors to spend that much money but if you are then Dovo is the brand you want.

Gingher 8" dressmaker scissors and small embroidery scissors. I also have Betty Cotton scissors which are great.

Gingers are my favorite but, I hide them from the family. Sometimes I have hidden them so well, I cannot find them. Fiskars are nice too.

Ginghers scissors, I've had mine for years and they are still just as good as the day I got them.

The titanium edge scissors are now the sharpest scissors you can buy. New machinery makes scissor edges quick and less expensive and lighter weight. I read this in a hunting magazine about knife and hatchet blades.

I have Fiskers, couple of them and use only for sewing. I have other cheaper pairs in other parts of the house for general cutting and for hubby to use. My quilting scissors are a different color than the general household use and pity the poor soul who is caught using them. I also have cute scissors I got at Walmart just for cutting paper. Mostly I use the rotary cutter for most quilt projects.
