If you add one more on point square to each border and also shift them over by half a square, you can get the on point squares to meet nicely at the corners. It would look like this:
Making this change will definitely require some ripping and new sewing, but I think will be well worth it. |
White corners are good, perhaps put some interesting quilting designs, or applique or embroidery in them.

Beautiful quilt. I like platyhiker's suggestion.

Platyhiker beat me to it. You just need to reorganize the location of your on-point squares (scoot them over a bit), then add another square.

What size is this quilt and how much area is there in the "new" white space? I'm wondering if you could add a star to each corner, similar to the main star, but simplified?

Just think of them as pretty bandaids. I it ain't broke, don't fix it! Love the design and colors of your quilt, corners and all.

I like Playhiker's suggestion=I think it complements the feathered star medallion nicely. I felt there was something missing with the 'band-aid' arrangement. Please show us your quilt after you consider the suggestions and make your choice. Your quilt is very beautiful.

How about a paper-pieced fan in the corners? Wish I had a photo of the one I did - it solved the same problem that you're having.

I like Playhiker's suggestion equally as well as the plain white blocks. I think either would work very nicely.

I don't know what to tell you. It's absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
