Suggestions for these corners?

I am working on a medallion wall hanging. No pattern....just adding borders, with lots of math help and suggestions from you wonderful people!
The corners of the on-point blocks are bugging me....they look like bandaids to me! I have googled a bit, but I have not come up with a solution....any suggestions would be welcomed. Its still at a point where I can un-sew it...next border will be 1x3” flying geese....I think!

Looks good! They don't look like bandages to me and once you ad a quilting design maybe in contrasting thread, it will all pull together.

How about appliquing something in that space?

Wouldn't change a thing. I think it looks very nice as is and it's symmetrical
which is sometimes hard to achieve when adding pieced borders.

Loving what you've done, but if the corners bug you so much would it help if you replace them with a nine patch.

I think I would applique two long skinny points on each "bandaid", coming off the centers where the seam is. If you don't want to applique long skinny points, almost any other shape would work to destroy the bandaid image: small half square triangles along those two sides to pick up on the "feathers" on the center star, or diamond shapes just like those on the tips of the feathered star. Even a shape with curves would look pretty and contrast with all the straight lines in the piecing. It would be faster than taking the blocks out and inserting new blocks, and you could end up with something very unique and interesting, one of those "happy accidents"!

You could put a triangle on top of the two squares or applique a shape like the end of the feathered star has - I think it's called a parallelogram??

you could also just leave that space white.
