Supreme Slider? Does it really make a difference?

I'm contemplating purchasing one. Does it really make a big difference? What size did you buy? I was thinking about the queen size...the king size one is just over-the-top expensive for what it is and the regular size one just seems too small.

YES. It really works. I have the queen size. It makes a big difference when doing FMQ. I also use the gloves. Together they have helped me improve my quilting a lot.

Thanks for asking that. I've been wondering if they were good. I'm planning to look for one at Quilt Festival this year

And I will be a voice of dissent since I don't use the slider or gloves. My HQ sweet 16 has a laminate covering that works just fine. I bought a slider and honestly it is just one more product I dont use

I had one and ripped it- sewed it to the back of my quilt- I was so mad! Someone told me to get one of those teflon sheets for the oven- 2 of them were about 10.00 on Amazon. Work fantastic! I just cut a hole in the needle area and affix with painter's tape. They work just as well, or in my case, better.
The prices for the Supreme Sliders are ridiculous.

I have had one for years. I tried using it several times and it kept sliding. I put it away and never use it.

Exactly- the sliding is how it ended up being sewn through. It didn't stay put. A total waste of my money :(

And I thought I was the only one who sewed through her supreme slider! It did not stay put, slipped from where it was placed and ended up sewn into my free motion stitches on the back of my quilt. I just tossed it and considered lesson learned. I do not recommend it, especially at its price.

I always tape mine down so it doesn't move. Still I like it.

they are so popular i guess they work well for many.
personally, i didn't see any difference when i tried one.
a big piece of freezer paper, taped down, shiny side down, works just as well.

some people have used a silicone spray on their machine beds with success.
apply like spray wax, buffing to remove excess.
spray wax works, too, i think.
