Yep... if you've ever copied and pasted to a doc an article about applique, you've probably noticed that Spell-Check wants you to write it "appliqué" - the-e-with-an-accent is Alt 130. There are a whole bunch of these - google ANSI codes. There are all sorts of diacritical marks for French, German, the Scandinavian languages, etc, as well as for fractions and numerous symbols.
1/2 is Alt 171 (½) 1/4 is Alt 172 (¼) Mac shortcuts don't work on a PC, so you'll have to google a list of ANSI codes. :) |
Do a search on google and it will tell you what the difference is for all the symbols and how to get them.
