What about ♀? keep ALT pressed and then 13 on the numbers pad.
Don't forget to stop pressing the ALT, otherwise the signs don't appear ;-).

hello and º¢º. lol it does work, but I noticed you have to use the number pad. It doesn't work with the row of numbers across the top..

Go to character map window. Use Arial font. Click advanced view. In "Search For" box type 'hearts'...voila! :)
