If it were mine I would go ahead and put the binding on and call it great. As someone else said...it's a design decision. It is a lovely quilt and I really like the pattern. Good work and someone is going to cherish this.

You have created an absolutely lovely quilt. Since you spotted the mishap, and if your any thing like me, it will just drive you nuts. The best idea has previously been suggested but I will carefully take it apart and reassemble it. But never forget how gorgeous this quilt is and all the sentiment and care you have put into it.

If it was for myself, I would leave it. If it is for a wounded warrior, I would fix it. They may not understand all the quirks of quilting and it could be misinterpreted. I'd fix it.

I aagree with maryb119 I would take a deep breath and start unsewing just in that part of the quilt take my time (and probably keep asking myself how I misssed it) It looks to me that some sections just were flipped. At least it is at the edge of the quilt. I have made mistakes in the inner part of a quilt and disasembled it and put it back together more then once. Deep breath and dive in. BTW I love your quilt it is beautiful always yippie

I think it would be great to embroider (Machine or Hand) the words "Thanks for your Service" as if those two blocks are framing the words. Or place an eagle there with the wing tips touching each of the red "outstanding" blocks.

Why not applique the top part of the stars where they are suppose to go? Do the needle turn and it'll look fabulous.

I would take out the quilting and fix the mistake. Fortunately it's in a small area on the edge rather than a blunder in the center of the quilt. It's a beautiful quilt and perfect for QOV.

I was hard pressed to see any mistake, I really had to look lol. It is fine just the way it is. I would love it too.

I love it. It took me forever to even find the error. I say leave it unique and go with it.

I really like your quilt. If it is really bothering you, I would do as Mary B suggested. You still did a good job on it!
