i do stuff all the time, we all do. I would bite the bullet and when I am watching news or movie just seam rip out, do it when its convenient for u so that way it doesnt aggravate u as much. I do this phyc on myself. ha u are lovely to want to do it to start with so kind and giving.

I'm sure glad I read this! I've almost always used mono thread on my gift baby quilts - I never imagined it could be a hazard. Thanks for the info

Another reason it's not recommended for baby quilts is if stitches undo the invisible thread can get wrapped around a baby's finger and cut off circulation.

Rayon doesn't hold up for the long run. Use a cotton, poly, or blend of the two for your threads. Rayon will fade and get brittle over time.

You mean that I was supposed to zigzag the binding edge. OOPS...I know that I went into the binding with the FM but didn't do any ziggiezag. Oh well, next one will be right! Susie

cande glad to hear where you're from we're not that far apart. If you or any of your friends want to go on a fun quilt retreat call Sue at Stitch It Quilts in Fargo or go to her website & check under the classes & at the bottom of page it will say home page & that will get you to the infor. The retreat is Jan. 29, 30 & 31 & we do a mystery quilt. Lots of fun, great food & fun quilting people. I think she still has room for 5 more. Let me know if you decide to go! I don't know if we're suppose to put phone numbers so that is why I didn't. Does anyone know if that is allowed??
