Tartan, you are a hoot! I agree, mine all look so good in my head. It's like in golf. I picture my golf ball flying through the air and landing in the green. When I hit it, it never goes like I pictured. Oh well, quilting and golf are both fun ways to pass the time.

I haven't had a perfect one yet, but that is okay. I'm not perfect

From what I've heard, quilters of yesterday used to put a "humility" patch into their quilts to show that no one and nothing is perfect. All of my quilts ARE perfectly perfect....Not! :p

Nothing made by imperfect humans can be perfect. We can only strive for perfection.

I have to agree with "coopah". Eleanor Burns' quilts are very easy to make without making a mistake!!!!

Try making a whole cloth quilt by hand. Few nasty seams to quilt through. No points to match and no seams to stitch through. Mistakes are much easier to remove and repair. You may just fall in love. Using a frame even a large embroidery hoop makes it much easier to handle. No dragging around under the machine. Share time with your family and even watch TV while you work.

Not made by me and not by one person but there sure are a lot of good looking quilts with a lot of ribbons and a lot of beautiful quilts seen on this board!

Have you ever had a quilt that had no problems from start to finish? I have just started a new one and already have had to take stitches out from 4 blocks. Is there such a thing, or is it like the perfect murder. Just does not exist. :-)
