I have a Featherweight that was my Mum's. She bought it 20 years ago for $125 (used).
There is an elderly gentleman here in town who used to work for Singer many years ago. He still does repairs in his home and I have taken all my old Singer machines to him for servicing. I asked him about the Featherweights once and he said they are overpriced and that if you can get one for $300 then that should be the maximum one should pay. Just FYI. |
obviously they do not want to sell them.

You gotta remember - California is the land of fruits and nuts. :) No offense meant to anyone in CA.

They are beautiful machines and I bet there is someone out there that will pay that price. Not me but I would love the red one...hmmm I wonder if HE would notice $3000 missing from our checking account?

I think to repaint one is a tremendous amount of work. I love the red one and if I win the lottery, I'll buy it. I bought a 222K in mint condition for a bunch of money and have no regrets.

I know the 222's go for alot since there are so few of them out there. They're the ones that have the removable bed so you can say sew a sleeve on. |
love the red one but not for that price, maybe I will get mine painted.
