Use those fabrics on the back by piecing them in wide strips, verticle or horizontally. Then pick out some black & white & red & blue, or purple/black, whatever and however many you need for your own piecing on the front or the top. Make the top your contribution, leaving the back for "his" contribution. ;) Marsha

Those are gorgeous! I would do a very simple design with solid red.

I can see your problem with these 2 pieces of fabric. It is as though the eyes can't focus on the design. My eyes get funny , the design swirls and I get nauseated also. My question is" How old is your son? If he is old enough to use scissors, set him down give him a template and make him do the cutting or no dice is making the quilt from that fabric. Your son is precious to you, as all of ours are, but I wouldn't make myself sick making a quilt for him. I have made quilts for all 7 of my children and most of my grandchildren. Tell your son to pick other fabrics that don't make you sick.

Theres two more fabrics in this quilt he wants that do the same thing. Any suggestions on how to use these fabrics and not die in the process?

We want the to see the quilt when it's done. Makes my eyes cross to see the fabric.

I love the fabric. But, I see your delima!! I think it will be COOL when you get it done! You will be okay. Crosseyedness can probably be corrected with new glasses. hehehe!

I see what you mean. When myDd was little, I made her a red/white stripe dress for Christmas. After I would work on it, I would see green dots everywhere. It was kinda funny.

How about smoothing the fabric out and then laying another piece on the top and covering it sort like a press cloth. Also if you are cutting the same cuts from more than one fabric, bury it under another piece and do the cuts for both. Then maybe the smaller pieces will be ok

Too much for me. I had vestibular neuritis years ago and this fabric would leave me spinning for days! Would be stunning if used appropriately.
