When you have to work with the front side of the fabrics, could you try ironing on a piece of freezer paper?
|
I agree with you.

No suggestions lol I have trouble enough with my eyes so I try to avoid those type of fabrics lol - let us know what you do with them and what solution you used.

I think they would make me dizzy too!

I scrolled up and down fast and almost fell off my chair.lol

Robbing Peter to Pay Paul in these two might really make eyes spin.

You can iron dissolvable stabilizer onto the top of the fabric before you cut it. The light weight stabilizer can be seen through but will look gauzy and should stop the strobe effect the fabric is having on you. At any point that you want to get rid of the stabilizer all you have to do is rinse the fabric, or otherwise wet the stabilizer. I just dissolves and leaves no effect.

I'm with you on those fabrics making you dizzy. LOL I'm not sure what you could do other than stack it behind a solid color when you cut it so you don't see it. LOL

I made 4 black and white quilts this summer and had similar problems. I added a tiny square or strip of a third color. One had a little hot pink, one red, one yellow etc. They were stunning and much prettier than the plain black and white but again just a little bit of bold color. Good luck
