They Finally Made Me An Offer I Couldn't Refuse!

Hi friends,
I am continually bombarded by Craftsy to get their Unlimited and I've deleted the emails. Until yesterday....
They offered me a year of Unlimited plus a free quilt kit ( I had a choice out of 3) plus 25.00 to spend on anything else.
So I'm basically getting a full year for nothing.
I'm excited!

costumegirl 03-18-2018 05:44 AM

Wow! Sounds like a good deal! You will have fun using it and making your free kit!! :)

Geri B 03-18-2018 05:45 AM

So how much was quoted for the full year membership? What kind of kit?

SusieQOH 03-18-2018 06:03 AM

The price was the same as it's been- 120.00 per year.
The kit is beautiful- Blazing Star. Makes a large quilt- 99X99

sewbizgirl 03-18-2018 06:09 AM

I agree... that's the best deal they have offered so far.

cashs_mom 03-18-2018 08:19 AM

Maybe I need to read those emails before I delete them . . .

Watson 03-18-2018 12:16 PM

I was offered a $25.00 gift certificate. I e-mailed them to ask why I wasn't offered the free quilt kit. We'll see if they come back with an answer....

mandyrose 03-18-2018 01:10 PM

i got the same email and deleted it thought i have another look at the offer and couldn't find the offer anywhere on the craftsy website so went back to my trash box in my email and found it here is the link https://landing.craftsy.com/ultimate...9447&cuid=3818 i been thinking about it all weekend

Macybaby 03-18-2018 02:02 PM

I got that too - and it's been tempting. The offer is good until the end of the month so I've got a bit of time to decide.

coffeecozy 03-18-2018 02:15 PM

Ask me how hard I am kicking myself now. I didn't get a darned thing extra when I signed up :hunf:.

mkc 03-18-2018 04:25 PM

I got the offer, too, and submitted to take advantage. How are you notified for choosing the free quilt kit? I haven't received anything for it.

SusieQOH 03-18-2018 05:24 PM

mkc, They sent me an email right after the payment went through and I chose the Blazing Star.
coffeecozy- I would definitely call them and try to get the freebies. You have nothing to lose. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!
Watson, I'm sure you'll get the kit. They really want our business.
I haven't bought many classes over time, maybe a total of 6 and once in awhile I buy products. It's not like I'm their best customer.

Thanks - all I got was a e-mail confirming my free trial, so I went in and cancelled that and opened a Support ticket. Seems like something went wrong with their offer link when I clicked on it (I saw the T's and C's of the offer said no free trials with it, and for some reason I ended up with a free trial instead of the deal).

Jingle 03-18-2018 06:19 PM

Good for you Susie, sounds like a really good deal.

Teen 03-18-2018 07:32 PM

I'm sitting on my email, too. I can't decide....the kits offered are all awesome...

Watson 03-19-2018 02:34 AM

I don't see any pictures of the kits...any links?

Watson

SusieQOH 03-19-2018 02:38 AM

Watson, look up Blazing Star- Craftsy. It was a block of the month I believe in 2016
Canyon Creek
Amish Medallion
They are the other two.
I couldn't find them on the site (weird) but did a google search.

jmoore 03-19-2018 03:30 AM

I didn’t get that one but the one I got was for $80 annual membership instead of $120 but when I checked out, it didn’t apply the discount and showed a charge of $120 to my Amex so I cancelled it...I will call them today.

Wanabee Quiltin 03-19-2018 05:29 AM

I have bought several kits from Craftsy but I don’t like their not giving out the pattern. I went to a local store to print in color the pattern and it was fuzzy. I made the quilt recently and it was difficult to put together. I think the offer was excellent however, it was a good deal.

What? What's a kit without a pattern?

sewnclog 03-19-2018 06:15 AM

Well I delete them too; guess I shouldn't have - but would like to see the quilt kit options before I choose. I looked and they don't show the options of quilt kits. I'm not sure I'd use it enough to justify the cost. Looks like you have to pay it ALL up front to get the quilt kit and not 'by the month'.

peaceandjoy 03-19-2018 06:22 AM

They put a post on facebook that they had technical issues that they believe have been solved.

I cancelled the free trial that came up in my account when I tried over the weekend to get the special. Then tried to sign up again. When I choose "get this option" (to pay the full $120 and get the kit and coupon), it just takes me back to a class page. I sent them another message.

The Canyon Creek kit is sold out, so only two choices left. Both are made with solids, which do nothing for me, so guess I will pass on the offer now, even if they do get it sorted. If anyone should want one of those kits without the unlimited Craftsy, they are both on clearance for about $80.

SusieQOH 03-19-2018 07:23 AM

Wannabee- What do you mean no pattern? I've gotten the pattern with every kit I bought.

jokir44 03-19-2018 07:27 AM

I got that email too but I was thinking mine said unlimited Quilting classes. I've already bought all those classes I'm interested in so I passed the offer by. I will check my trash to make sure it was only the quilting classes offered.
Nope, my mistake. This email is for the whole site. Might need to rethink this one too.

pbunger 03-19-2018 08:25 AM

I was glad to see they finally took the Canyon Creek off of the offer. I signed up since I liked that kit forever. After I paid, they said it wasn't available. I wrote to customer service to see if it would be offered later, but they told me that the offer was for "as stock available" and would not be reoffered.

Mitty 03-19-2018 08:31 AM

I haven't seriously considered signing up with Craftsy because I know I don't really have time to make good use of it. With this offer I'd have all these classes available that I never quite get to AND a quilt kit sitting in the closet.:D

pbunger
- I bought that kit on clearance after Christmas. If you want the pattern I'd be happy to send it to you when I'm finished with it. Just let me know.

jaxgranny 03-19-2018 10:05 AM

I got the offer too...but figured there must be a catch. Are you really sure it's on the up and up? Seems too good to be true doesn't it?

jaxgranny- No, I don't think so. It's legitimate. I ordered my kit and spent the $25.00 on other things and am watching Angela Walters right now, working with rulers.
I think it may seem too good to be true but in reality they are trying to get people to subscribe to Unlimited. If I like it I'll continue but if not I'll have it for a year and then cancel.
They already shipped my order (got a notice yesterday)

gale 03-19-2018 12:10 PM

I didn't get this email but my sister forwarded it to me. It says the quilt kit has to be redeemed by June 30th so if you didn't like any of the ones offered, maybe wait and see if the other one comes back in stock or they offer something better later.

Annaquilts 03-19-2018 12:29 PM

Canyon Creek is no longer available.

Thanks for posting this and the info.

I know right? I found it in the confirmation email they send you. The $25 is in there too.

My confirmation e-mail didn't have either of those. Guess they had quite the glitch with this offer....

Annaquilts 03-19-2018 02:58 PM

mkc I send you a pm. Hopefully it is helpful.

Conchalea 03-20-2018 04:59 AM

As to no pattern with a kit, I’ve only bought some knitting kits from Craftsy, and with those the pattern is available as a download as soon as the payment goes through. It’s also available forever through them if something happens to it once it’s been downloaded.

Thanks, Mandyrose, I clicked on your offer and I got the free package, too. Since they never offered me this package, I definitely took advantage of yours. I am hoping, of course, that this won't be like a gym membership. LOL

mindless 03-20-2018 12:35 PM

This is what happened to me too. They sent me a confirmation of a free trial only. So I sent them a message asking how I could choose a quilt kit. They sent me to another Craftsy page with an offer for the Unlimited subscription for $166. Not $120 and said I should hurry and take advantage of this because the free kits were running out.
I was no longer able to order the Canyon quilt kit.
I sent them another message with a screen shot of the original $120 Unlimited offer that came with the free kit and $25 coupon.
Still waiting for a response....

SusieQOH 03-20-2018 02:01 PM

mindless If they're smart they'll honor the deal for you. It clearly stated 120.00 with the free kit and 25.00 to spend on anything else. Let us know what you find out.

Nathan's Mimi 03-20-2018 02:28 PM

I got the Medallion quilt and then with the $25 money to spend, I ordered the Travel Iron for $24!! I have been wanting it but couldn't justify spending that much on such a little iron! So....Lucky me I now am going to have one for free! :) Definitely worth the $120 for the annual fee. Unlimited class material, A queen size quilt kit, AND a travel iron. Can't beat that!!
