Fortunately, I know my mom loves the fabric in the quilt I'm making them for Christmas. She saw me buying it, and liked it, that's how I decided what to make for her.

Kuntryquilter, LOL, I bet you were at a loss for words when he said he turned it backwards so people would know who made it. He was really giving you quite a compliment.

I can see why some people like the whole cloth look of the back of the quilt. I like it too, but I do know the difference between the front and the back. As everyone else has said, your goal was to make them something they loved, and you did.

OK, I'm still having a problem with the pic of the tree skirt, (which is the subject of this whole thing) BUT I did manage to resize the Spiral table runner and the small tabletopper. Which, BTW - my DIL went nuts over and did NOT like the backing better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean, she really went NUTS over the spiral tablerunner.

That happen to me with a quilt I made for my daughter's couch-they liked the back side better-LOL
