Even if I had their number I wouldn't call them at home! Sure I am distressed about it, and greatly unhappy about something this expensive breaking so quickly... but, wow, no. I will just have to call them in the morning.
The unit is completely level... I have it sitting in the middle of my table. It was all working perfectly, and then something must have happened when I put the hoop back on. I have tried unhooking it, turning everything off and on, etc. Nothing works. Every time the arm gets to the point about 3" from the end of the track, it makes an awful sound like it is jamming and then it stops and the "Remove hoop" calibration pop up is displayed again. I really wanted to finish this quilt tonight :( I am sad. I had finally figured out the right settings to get it to come out right, and then this happens. |
Have you tried unplugging everything and let it " cool down " for a while?
Then, have you rethreaded everthung - top and bottom threads? Is your needle okay? Hope it' s an easy fix! |
Sorry to hear you have an issue -- nothing is more maddening and it seems to happen at the most inopportune times! Hope you get an easy solution to your problem early tomorrow!!
|
Please keep us posted on the outcome of this situation. Best of luck!

So sorry this happened to you at such an inopportune time, but hopefully it will be an easy and quick fix.

Oh, I hate it when something new goes haywire. You never know if it's an isolated problem, or you've got a lemon for a machine. Keep track of any and all repairs. If this continues, I'd ask for a new machine.

Have you googled or done a search on line. Never mind shop should be open today.
|
I know the Bernina dealer I use would talk to customers no matter when called, especially if there was a problem with any purchase. Her shop was rated highest in the district by Bernina Headquarters for customer service and sales.

Is there a support group on yahoo.....they might have some idea.....just a thought
|
Try unplugging it for a half an hour and then plugging it back in. See if that works.
